Witteveen+Bos is launching a new thesis prize this year with the overarching theme of sustainable design principles. The thesis prize is awarded to the university/hbo thesis that contributes the best, the most and/or has the most impact in the (further) development of the sustainable design principle 'Building with nature' of Witteveen+Bos and that explicitly links up with at least 1 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations (UN). With the prize, Witteveen+Bos wants to encourage the new generation of consultants and engineers to design sustainably.

The 'Building with nature' principle means that natural processes are used to enhance the design and achieve sustainable future-proofing. Working with nature and not against nature. This can prevent unintended negative side effects and create additional benefits, such as natural benefits.

What can you win?
The winning student will receive a sum of money to be used within the framework of the sustainable design principle 'Building with nature'. This can be in the form of a study (trip), course, conference, project development or further (talent) development. In addition, the winner will receive the Witteveen+Bos Sustainable Design trophy.

You can submit your thesis via the QR code in the poster or by emailing: communications@witteveenbos.com. You can register until the 1st of September.

By scanning the QR code you can also view more information about the criteria for submitting the thesis prize.
