Civil engineering research café

On Friday the 28th of March the CEM department, together with ConcepT and the BorrelCie organises the first ever CE Research Cafe in Beneden Peil. During this VriMiBo you have to chance to listen to 3 young researchers from all pillars of CEM that present their research in a lively manner, while enjoying a refreshing beer or soda. The following researchers will present their work:

•    Marthe Oldenhof from WEM will talk about her PhD project: Deep scour holes in the Dutch rivers: a natural behaviour or human interference?
•    Representing TEM, Roberto Ramirez elaborates on his PhD project on the Integration of Perceived Accessibility in Transportation.
•    Lastly, Susan Groenia from CME will dive into the Urban Bridges and Quay Walls project: Strategy implementation in infrastructure asset management organisations.

The CE Research Café opens at 15:30 and the program starts at 16:00. Make sure you’re there to connect with fellow students, researchers and academic staff and to celebrate the weekend. The last presentation finishes at around 17:00, but after that there is plenty of time to have a chat and enjoy the end of the week.

We hope to see as many of you there while we host you throughout the event.
