Business Case: Climate Adaptation for the Historic Centre of Medemblik
How Hydrodynamic Modeling Can Help Protect the Town Centre from Pluvial Flooding
The historic center of Medemblik is increasingly vulnerable to flooding during heavy rainfall, driven by climate change and urban development. This business case explores how the town center can be better protected from pluvial flooding. Using our in-house hydrodynamic modeling software RANA, we identify the causes and hotspots of water nuisance and assess targeted measures to address them. The ultimate goal is to reduce flood risk while enhancing the resilience and livability of Medemblik’s historic center.
